I was there and absolutely could not believe it was called a stroke. I think you might be able to hear 'No way!' repeatedly yelled in the background from me. Looks like a let ball to me because he could have played it. Just a safety let.

Safety. Opponent cleared, then jumped in a split-second early. He wasn't trying to distract; there was in fact room to play but why not just observe safety first.
