Asal didn't allow access for Ng to the ball. And intentionally dropped his racket into Ng's line, hitting his face. Unsportsmanlike play according to the rules and the ref should've provided a warning with this decision
A warning is not enough for hitting, on purpose, with the handle in the face.

It looked like Yow Ng ran into Asal’s racket. I don’t get how that’s a stroke. It should be a no let!

Stroke and conduct stroke. He play on purpose a longer swing whenever he have a chance to hit his opponent. The very previous shot shows that he has a shorter swing when his opponent is farther away.
